•    Accepting new patients
•    Language

If you find a dentist that seems like a good fit, you can contact them to make an appointment. 

Using an Aetna dental provider

When choosing a dentist, think about the type of plan you have. Two common plans include:

•    HMO (Health Maintenance Organization) plans. These plans require you to see dental providers within the Aetna network. Specialized dental services may require a referral. Preventive dental services are covered 100% by most plans.

•    PPO (Preferred Provider Organization) plans. These plans allow you to seek dental care outside of the Aetna network. But you will usually pay less if you see a provider that’s in network.
