With these plans, you are required to select an in-network primary care provider (PCP). Your PCP works with you to coordinate your health care so that you get the care you need at the time you need it.

What is an Aetna Medicare Advantage HMO plan?
A health maintenance organization (HMO) plan lets you choose any doctor or hospital that is in the plan network. You’re typically required to receive care from an in-network provider, except in the case of an emergency.
Do Aetna Medicare Advantage HMO plans require referrals?
HMO plans may require you to get a referral from your primary care provider for a visit to a specialist and for hospital care.
