Aetna Medicare Advantage plans and drug coverage

Aetna Medicare Advantage (also called Medicare Part C) plans cover all of the benefits and services that are covered by Medicare Part A and Part B. Most (but not all) of the Medicare Advantage plans offered by Aetna include coverage for prescription drugs.

If you’re enrolled in an Aetna Medicare Advantage plan that offers prescription drug coverage, your plan will have a list (formulary) of what prescription drugs are covered, what tier a drug is on, and any drug requirements or limits. It will also have mail order availability through CVS Caremark® Mail Service Pharmacy.

The lower the tier a drug is on, the less you will typically pay.

The benefits you receive will vary depending on the plan you choose.
