Anthem Medicare Advantage Plans

Medicare Advantage (Part C) plans are an alternative way to receive your Original Medicare (Part A and Part B) benefits.

These plans provide the same benefits as Original Medicare combined into a single plan. Most Medicare Advantage Plans offer additional benefits that aren’t covered by Original Medicare, such as prescription drug coverage.

Some Anthem Medicare Advantage Plans may also include coverage for:

  • Routine dental care
  • Eye exams and eyeglasses
  • Hearing tests and hearing aids
  • Certain screenings and other preventive services

Anthem Medicare Advantage plans feature premiums as low as $0 per month and include an annual out-of-pocket spending maximum, which can help protect you from excessive health care costs.

Anthem Medicare Part D plans

Medicare Part D plans provide coverage exclusively for prescription medications.

Anthem Prescription Drug Plans (PDPs) offer copays as low as $0, and there are more than 68,000 pharmacies across the U.S. as of 2019 that accept Anthem drug coverage.2

Anthem Medicare Supplement Insurance plans

A Medicare Supplement Insurance (also called Medigap) plan can be used in conjunction with Medicare Part A and Medicare Part B to provide coverage for certain Medicare out-of-pocket expenses, such as deductibles, copays and coinsurance.

Anthem Medicare Supplement Insurance plans are not the same as Medicare Advantage plans, and they do not offer the same benefits that may be offered by a Medicare Advantage plan. You cannot have a Medicare Advantage plan and a Medicare Supplement Insurance plan at the same time.
