Urso Forte is a medication used to dissolve gallstones and treat primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC). Urso Forte is available as a brand name or generic and comes as an oral tablet.

Urso Forte is a medication that contains the active ingredient Ursodiol. Urso Forte is used to treat an autoimmune liver condition called primary biliary cirrhosis (PBC) in adults, children and infants. It’s also used to break up gallstones.

Urso Forte blocks the enzyme in the liver that produces cholesterol to reduce cholesterol in the liver and bile. It is typically taken 2-4 times daily.

Common side effects of Urso Forte include headache, dizziness, back pain, diarrhea, constipation, upset stomach, vomiting, heartburn, muscle pain, signs of a common cold and hair loss.
