Wellcare is part of Centene, which was founded on the belief that affordable and quality healthcare should be accessible for everyone. Wellcare provides managed care services through Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement and Medicare Part D plans to over 5.6 million plan members.2
Medicare Advantage (Medicare Part C) plans include all of your Medicare health benefits and prescription drug coverage for all-in-one coverage.
Depending on where you live, you may have access to different types of Medicare Advantage plans from Wellcare.
Plan availability and benefits may vary from one area to another, and not all plans are available in all locations.
You can find Medicare Advantage plans from Wellcare that feature large networks that may even include your doctor who accepts Medicare. Some Wellcare Medicare Advantage plans also give back some, or all, of your Medicare Part B premium each month.
As a member of a Wellcare Medicare Advantage plan, you receive additional flexibility with a Visa Flex Card. This plan feature is a Visa debit card preloaded with a set amount between $100 – $2,000, which you can use to help pay for your dental, vision or hearing care needs that go beyond your plan coverage.
Wellcare Medicare Advantage plans may also feature allowances for over-the-counter items such as vitamins, toothpaste and incontinence supplies.
Many Wellcare Medicare plans also earn above average quality ratings. Each year, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) release Star Ratings that measure the performance of Medicare Advantage plans.3
For 2022, Wellcare’s parent company Centene earned a 4.0 Star overall rating, out of 5 stars, and approximately 50% of plan members are in a plan rated 4 stars or higher out of 5 stars.4
