Some Medicare Advantage plans (Medicare Part C) may offer dental benefits that aren’t covered by Original Medicare (Part A and Part B). Some of these Medicare Advantage plans may help cover root canals.
Unfortunately, Original Medicare does not offer any coverage for routine dental care, such as teeth cleaning.
Many Medicare Advantage plans provide dental coverage in addition to the hospital and medical benefits covered by Original Medicare. Some Medicare Advantage plans also offer $0 premiums, though $0 premium plans may not be available in all locations.

Plus, many Medicare Advantage plans may also provide coverage for prescription drugs. This means that medication that you might be prescribed as a result of a root canal or other dental work could be covered by your Medicare Advantage plan.
